We are in Meridian

Elena and I arrived at the Boise last night at 8PM.  David Carmack picked us up and took us to their home where four of us watched the last half of the Celtic / Laker game.  The result was sad.

This morning Becci loaned us her car.  We drove to Merlyn's.  Merlyn has created great gardens and he extended his trails on his property.  Amylynn and family were there.

We then arrived at Don and Carolyn's.  LouAnn has been here since the death and will stay a few more days.  Jana's and Tyson's baby is 10 days overdue.  Don and Carolyn seem to be taking Vicki's death OK.  Carolyn is better than when the last time we saw her.  Her improvement is probably due to all the attentive care that Vicki and daughter, Emily, gave her.

Daniel and Brian Dowdle just arrived with one of their small boys.

Ron and Laurene will be here soon.  They had planned on coming with Jennifer and Wynn, but Wynn broke his arem yesterday.

I will keep you informed.

Vickki Cornell Owens

Vickki Cornell Owens, fourth child of Don and Carolyn Cornell, was having trouble recovering from some surgery a few weeks ago.  Nevertheless, she was well enough to travel to her parents home yesterday.  She went there to help with her mother, Carolyn's, health problems.  She was laughing at lunch and then went to take a nap.  Don went on to check on her a while later, and she had died.

Vickki is survived by her husband, Glen Owens.  Three adult children are living at home.  The date for the funeral has not been set.  Elena and I will likely attend.  Please say prayers for Vickki's parents and family.

Kailin's graduation.

We just attended Kailin Chang's graduation from Juanita High School.  About 340 graduated.  Attendees were Elena, Ed, Tara, and Kailin's boyfriend, Michael.  Michael is handsome 6 foot tall boy that Kailin meet in All State band.  The students and the audience were enthusiastic to say the least.  Kailin appeared very happy.
